The plan results page will show you the repayment and forgiveness options you qualify for. This page will display your estimated monthly payment amount on different IDR plans, an estimated timeline until you will be eligible for forgiveness, and the estimated amount of forgiveness you would receive under each plan.
Important: These are estimates based on the information you provided in your Savi application, specifically your dates of employment and when you entered you started repayment on your loans. Actual results may vary. Any incorrect information in your application could affect these estimates.
The results page will automatically show you the plan with the lowest monthly payment and the most forgiveness, but you can see everything you qualify for by clicking ‘Show More Plans’. If you want to see more information about each plan, click ‘Show Plan Details’ to see how the numbers were calculated.
These plans are designed to show you options while pursuing PSLF. The monthly payment is your payment on an IDR plan, and the forgiveness amount is the amount that would be forgiven under PSLF. The forgiveness amount is the remaining balance after you’ve paid on an IDR for the remaining time.
In this example, by enrolling in the PAYE plan, your monthly payment would be $247 per month. You would pay a total of $21,347, and in 6 years, 10 months you would receive $14,717 in loan forgiveness.
After selecting a plan on the Plan Results page, you’ll be taken to the instructions page to indicate what income documentation you’ll provide. Once you select your documentation type, you’ll be taken to DocuSign to complete your application.
