As you move through the Savi tool, you'll be prompted to enter information about your current loan servicer. A loan servicer is a company that the Department of Education assigns to you to handle the billing and repayment options for your federal student loans. This servicer is assigned as soon as your loan is disbursed, and they will contact you thereafter.
