The actual disbursement date of a loan is the date the funds were made available to the borrower. If you are having difficulty finding out your disbursement date from a most recent loan statement, or your servicers portal, you can access the National Student Loan Data System to find out your disbursement date. You must have an FSA ID to access this information, and if you do not have an FSA ID, you can create one by logging into studentaid.gov.
*If you only have private loans, there is no central database for private student loan information. You should contact your lenders or loan holders to get more information about private loans.
