- Who has access to my information?
- Savi has access to the information users provide through the tool and/or through our customer support team. Savi may disclose aggregated, unidentified information about our users with our business partners who referred you to Savi.
- Why do I need to provide my social security number?
- You’ll need to provide your social security number to have Savi digitize your Income-Driven Repayment Plan and/or Public Service Loan Forgiveness application via DocuSign. Savi does not store your social security number or provide your social security number to any third parties.
- Does Savi need my bank account information?
- Providing your bank account information is optional in the Savi tool, but users have the option to allow Savi to automatically monitor for changes to their income that may affect their current repayment plan.
- Why is Savi doing this?
- Savi is made up of a team of student loan experts whose goal is to combine technology with deep student loan knowledge to help our users save time and money on their student loans. Our mission is to help people prosper by tackling the student debt crisis. As a Public Benefit Corporation, we are outcome-driven, and want to go above and beyond in the pursuit of positive impact. Savi partners with membership organizations, employers, and financial institutions to bring our platform to their communities.
- Is Savi a bank?
- Savi is not a bank, nor a student loan servicer. Users do not make loan payments to Savi. Savi is a third-party advocate that helps users understand the best options for their student loans and how to act on them.
- Does AARP Foundation make money from Savi?
- AARP Foundation and their affiliates do not make money from Savi. It is a benefit offered to their community and members.
- Does Savi partner with the Department of Education?
- Savi does not partner directly with the Department of Education, but we advocate on behalf of borrowers to the Department of Education.
- Is Savi a secure site?
- Yes, Savi is a secure site. We implement safeguards to protect your privacy and security, such as Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) to prevent unauthorized access to your account.
- Am I required to make changes to my repayment plan if I work with Savi?
- When working with Savi, you are not required to make any changes to your student loans. Our tool is designed to show you all your options, but you are not required to make them.
